1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Quran & Hadith Importer add-on for Google Docs (“the Add-on”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Add-on.

2. Description of Service

The Add-on lets users look up and insert Quran ayahs, hadith, and tafsir into Google Docs, from the sidebar or by replacing /quran, /hadith, and /tafsir tags typed in the document. It supports several text sources, translation languages, and a user-chosen fallback source. The Add-on is provided free of charge for personal and non-commercial use.

3. License

The Add-on is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0) for open-source and non-commercial use. Organizations seeking commercial use must obtain a separate commercial license. A 30-day evaluation period is available at no cost. Contact inquiry@nnjasec.com for commercial licensing.

4. Third-Party Sources

The Add-on retrieves text from third-party services: Al Quran Cloud, sunnah.com, the fawazahmed0 Hadith API (served by jsDelivr), hadithapi.com, tafsir.app, and quran.com. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or content. Each may have its own terms of use.

• sunnah.com requests are sent from Google’s servers with NNJAsec’s API key. You may use sunnah.com through the Add-on’s normal features only. You may not attempt to extract the key or use the Add-on to bulk-download sunnah.com content.
• hadithapi.com needs your own API key. You are responsible for complying with hadithapi.com’s terms and for managing your key.
• The Add-on spaces its requests to stay within each source’s rate limits. Large tag runs may take longer as a result.

5. Accuracy of Content

Religious text is retrieved from third-party sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content.

• Hadith grades come from sunnah.com or hadithapi.com and should be verified with authoritative Islamic scholarship.
• Sources can number the same collection differently. The Add-on names the source of every hadith it inserts, and it uses a fallback source only for collections where both sources are known to share numbering. Check references that matter.

6. No Warranty

The Add-on is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Add-on.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Add-on at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Add-on at any time by uninstalling it from Google Docs. We may terminate or suspend access to the Add-on at our discretion.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
